Improving Stormwater Runoff Quality using Wasted activated Carbon from a Household Water Purifier

Objectives : To recycle the wasted activated carbon from water purifiers and reuse stormwater runoff, this study evaluated quality of runoff with regeneration using granular containing commercial for treatment household purifiers.Methods The removal total coliforms, chloride, BOD, T-N, T-P, turbidity, pH in were analyzed by down-flow column test varied mixing ratios. In addition, chemical modification ferrous sulfate ultrasonic conducted to improve efficiency turbidity.Results Discussion optimal ratio was 7:3 (GAC:WGAC), which showed high 88.2% 70.8% 72.6% 88.4% 50.7% 85.9% turbidity. surface a 0.2 M FeSO<sub>4</sub> solution demonstrated highest efficiency, reduction 11.8% 29.2% 12.1% 20.3% 13.2% while T-N decrease 19.4% efficiency.Conclusion efficiencies all parameters, coliforms turbidity did not meet standards reclaimed water. This indicated that further physicochemical needed performance approach explored should be continued area resource circulation properly utilize resources wastes.
